Sec. 4.4. Applications for such permits shall be made to the City Engineer and shall
state therein the location of the intended excavation or tunnel, the size thereof,
the purpose therefor, the person, firm or corporation doing the actual excavation,
the person, firm or corporation for whom the work is being done, the date when the
work is to be started, the estimated days required for completion thereof and such
further information as the City Engineer may reasonably require. Said application
shall also contain an agreement by the applicant to compensate the City for the cost
of restoring the traveled surface determined as hereinafter provided.
